The design of Park Plaza Senior Apartments was inspired by Art Nouveau, with beautiful finishes and an open concept. Meta Housing ensured that the property featured a large community area that was built to promote resident interaction. In addition, the property as a whole was designed with a European feel to encourage residents to walk around and interact.
The property features various community balconies and places for residents to chat, as well as a grand interior staircase that welcomes residents to the community area.
Park Plaza Senior Apartments was the first Meta Housing development to fully integrate new research on aging and engagement. This research demonstrated that giving older adults the opportunity to participate in professionally conducted, community-based cultural programs was beneficial to those adults’ health and well-being.
Drawing upon the insights of this research, Meta Housing established its philosophy of building environments that promote engagement in order to help increase the health and longevity of residents.
Meta Housing has continued to incorporate these crucial design elements into subsequent communities in order to consistently encourage socialization and interactivity.
