The Tiki Apartments is a 36-unit affordable apartment community for homeless individuals, which is designed with an array of supportive services for residents.
Meta Housing Corporation worked closely with LAMP Communities, a nonprofit service provider, to help homeless individuals move off the streets and live more stable and productive lives by providing services that promote wellness, self-sufficiency, and a sense of community among residents.
The new development transformed a blighted motel and vacant apartment community into high quality urban infill housing that improves the overall consistency of the neighborhood by aiding in the need for quality affordable housing for homeless individuals throughout the region.
In conjunction with LAMP Communities, Meta Housing also worked closely with the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services to ensure residents receive services that include case management, mental health care, primary and preventive health care, substance abuse treatment, and financial and life skills training.
The Tiki Apartments consists of a mix of studios, one-bedroom and three-bedroom floorplans, and was constructed utilizing sustainable and energy efficient features to meet the GreenPoint rating standards.
