Meta Housing has broken ground on Stony Oaks Apartments, a 142-unit affordable housing project in Santa Rosa, California. The units will be constructed for families and individuals earning between 30% – 60% of area median income.
“In 2017, the city of Santa Rosa lost roughly 3,000 homes in the Tubbs Fire, accounting for 5% of the city’s housing supply,” says Kasey Burke, President at Meta Housing. “This devastating fire displaced many families from their homes, and Santa Rosa has not been able to fully rebuild what was lost. By providing these 142 units, we hope to give families and individuals in need a new place to call home.”
The four-story development is located on a 4.39-acre site consisting of 56 one-bedroom, 48 two-bedroom, and 38 three-bedroom units. All units will include fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms.
Other onsite amenities include a community room, tot lot, fitness facility, central laundry room, on-site property manager and resident services with 185 surface parking spaces and 47 bicycle parking stalls.
Located at 2542 Old Stony Point Road, the development will be 3 miles southwest of downtown Santa Rosa, giving residents quick access to various retail, dining and entertainment options.
