Meta Housing has broken ground on Mission Gateway, a 356-unit affordable apartment community for low-income families and individuals in the North Hills submarket of Los Angeles, California.

As the shortage of affordable housing in the Los Angeles metro increases, Meta is committed to filling this deep need through high-quality, transit-oriented developments that are well-amenitized, according to Kasey Burke, President at Meta Housing.

“Mission Gateway represents our ability to continue developing much needed affordable housing throughout Los Angeles and California,” says Burke. “Meta has remained extremely active throughout 2020 and the pandemic as the call for affordable units continues to rise.”

Upon completion, the property will offer 28 studios, eight one-bedroom units, 126 two-bedroom units, 182 three-bedroom units, and 12 four-bedroom units. The development will also include fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms in each apartment, onsite laundry, community rooms with recreation space, a fitness room, on-site parking spaces and bicycle stalls. Further, the development will provide large, open courtyards that will be centrally located for residents to safely gather in a post-covid environment.

Mission Gateway is situated in proximity to a number of Metro Bus Lines, grocery stores, Langdon Elementary School, Plaza West Pharmacy, and the North Hills Community Park.

The 4.5-acre site is located at 8811 Sepulveda Avenue in North Hills, California.
