Meta Housing is excited to announce the groundbreaking of Blue Oak Square, the new 181- unit construction project in the City of Concord that will provide affordable housing for individuals and families earning between 30% and 70% of the area’s median income.
According to Kasey Burke, President at Meta Housing, the project will greatly benefit those who have faced the challenge of homelessness over the years.
“Blue Oak Square Apartments will provide 181 new residences to individuals who are in need of proper housing, support, and a sense of community,” says Burke. “Cost-burdened and severely cost-burdened renters are often individuals who have struggled with mental illness, and in the current climate of an impending recession and rising cost of living in California, this demographic is often overlooked when it comes to their housing needs.”
The new seven-story building will provide a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom units, as well as a variety of amenities including a community room, short- and long-term bicycle parking, and an outdoor open courtyard with a recreational space.
Blue Oak Square Apartments will be located at 2400 Willow Pass Road, Concord, CA.
