Meta Housing has completed the construction of Loma Linda Veterans Village, an 87-unit affordable apartment community for veterans in Loma Linda, California. The $43.4 million new development provides permanent supportive housing to veterans and their families experiencing varying levels of homelessness.
Kasey Burke, President of Meta Housing explains that while the firm has completed three other apartment communities in the Los Angeles area that serve homeless individuals and their families, this is its first project geared specifically for veterans.

“We placed a significant emphasis on designing the community to address some of the key needs of veterans,” explains Burke. “We incorporated amenities such as accessible units with larger door openings, grab bars, wheelchair turnaround spaces within units and removable cabinets at countertops for wheelchair knee and toe clearance, among other features.”
Loma Linda Veterans Village is also located less than a quarter mile from the Loma Linda VA, which offers residents life-improving social services such as education and counseling. The property is constructed to a GreenPoint rating of higher than 50 and features a mix of one, two-, and three-bedroom floorplans. The property is located at at 25281 Van Leuven Street in Loma Linda, California.
