As of mid-year 2023, Meta Housing has delivered three affordable housing communities and one family housing community in California totaling an impressive 458 units. The company has also secured $31 million in LIHTC equity financing for two additional affordable housing communities in the state.

During the first half of 2023, the Meta team has celebrated the grand opening of LAMP Lodge, an 81-unit affordable housing community in downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood, and Silva Crossing, a 56-unit affordable housing community in L.A.’s Sylmar neighborhood. The firm has also completed construction on Blue Oak Square, a 181-unit family housing community in Concord, and Mosaic on Mission, a 140-unit mixed-use affordable housing community in Hayward. In addition, Meta has secured $31 million in LIHTC equity financing for Blue Oak Square and West Carson Apartments, a 230-unit affordable housing community in Torrance, California.

“Housing affordability is at a critical low in many parts of California. In fact, in Los Angeles, only 17% of area households earn enough to buy a home, and housing prices in parts of Northern California are notoriously high. Delivering quality apartment communities for individuals and families in these markets is of prime importance,” says Kasey Burke, President of Meta Housing.

The firm has partnered with numerous financial organizations and social service providers to create apartment communities that make a difference for individuals and families in the state, Burke notes. “In light of the challenging economic environment, we are especially grateful for the support of our excellent financial partners in helping us deliver these quality projects to those in need throughout California.”

Moving into the second half of 2023, the Meta team is eager to provide additional affordable housing communities to underserved neighborhoods.

“We are excited to continue our mission of developing high-quality apartment communities with impactful programs that help improve the lives of many people,” says Burke. “We look forward to ongoing success for the rest of 2023.”
