Meta Housing, in partnership with social services provider L.A. Family Housing, has announced the grand opening of Silva Crossing, a 56-unit affordable housing community in Los Angeles’ Sylmar neighborhood. The development will provide 100% permanent supportive housing to serve individuals and families in the area who are facing homelessness.
“With homelessness a growing issue in markets across the country and Los Angeles in particular, delivering quality apartment communities for those in need is more essential now than ever,” says Kasey Burke, President of Meta Housing Corporation. “The development of Silva Crossing is an investment into the community by helping to address the rising demand for affordable and supportive housing.”
The affordable housing communities Meta Housing develops, including Silva Crossing, are designed to transcend the basics people need to live, notes Burke.
“Along with providing residents with a safe and stable living environment, our partnership with L.A. Family Housing ensures that the property provides case management and supportive services to help unsheltered individuals and families elevate their lives for the long term,” says Burke. “The common areas at Silva Crossing help to promote interaction and establish a sense of belonging to a community among residents, which is extremely important to their wellbeing and success.”
Silva Crossing is located at 12667 San Fernando Road, Los Angeles, California 91342.
